No, it's often so obvious by his reaction when an item is wheeled onto the set that he's never seen it before.  He apparently doesn't even preview his merchandise before the show.

I don't think SG personally designs all of her clothes either.  They all have a "team" of people who I would assume work under some general guidelines.  I think it would be impossible for either of them to design every article of clothing.

@mollymaggie

I read that he sold his company to Excel brands. He also licenses his name to other companies.

I have seen other items on sites leagues beyond Q by Issac.  He really does design.

Isaac does design, does have a team and is quite prolific.  He has a lovely couture line and often designs for ballet, theater and opera venues.  Designers work well ahead of the current season or on designs we see now.  So I think it’s possible to forget some detail in a garment you may have designed over a year ago.

It's a little smoke and mirrors: Excel Brands has their in-house designers.  My guess is part of the deal in the sale included Isaac's coming on QVC as a salesperson for the Isaac Mizrahi Live!

label.

I think it is the same with Judith Ripka as well as the Philosophy brand.

P.S. Yes, Isaac designs, and his pieces can be found in higher-end dept stores, but the Isaac Mizrahi Live! is the QVC label.

The same with Judith Ripka.  I have seen some of her jewelry

at Bergdorf.

At least Graver knows her own clothes.

The Xcel Brands website states that Isaac is the Chief Designer for his brand.
