One time a few months ago, Jacqui was a guest on Fashionably Early. She was on stage with PJD and JB, and the two of them kept talking and talking about something non-fashion, and poor Jacqui was just standing there not saying a word waiting for those two to finish. It was terrible. She wants to talk about the products; I get the feeling she's not into all of the chit-chat that goes on during that show. So, if she seems curt at times, maybe that's the reason.

This happens over and over be it here on the Q or elsewhere and it is some people not understanding the British sense of humor which, I might add, is much funnier than ours. The Brits are hilarious with their dry, cutting wit. I love it. Back across the pond to us, many in our country don't understand it. The Brits try to tamper it down for us if they absolutely have to but they really can't, it is ingrained in their personalities. I can tell you that I much prefer the Brits to us when it comes to humor. ![]()

I am only replying to the OP's original post. But, if Jacqui was rude to Jayne, Jayne deserved it. (I didn't see this particular show but have seen others.) Jayne has been extraordinarily rude to Jacqui many times. I like Jacqui, she's knowledgeable, humorous, and interesting.

I believe you have it right. She was being humble; however, she was a bit curt. She is a no nonsense- all business type of woman. She takes her job seriously. Not necessarily a bad thing, right?

Well, good luck to any vendor who tries to compete with Pat and Jayne. If you don't play the game their way Jayne will take care of it right now! That's why they all act like airheads - helmet head Linda with LC for example. And the shoulder pad lady, and the Legacy lady, and the giggling, blonde woman who sells Tignanello. It goes on and on. I don't even watch the morning fashion shows anymore.

She reminds me of that woman on the commercial who says, "Let's talk about your bum."

I'm not a fan of the Brits in any way, shape, or form, but rude is rude and that's our Jayne. I remember she didn't used to be that way when she was on her own, but when they hooked her up with Pat she changed. Jayne used to be my favorite host, I never did take to Pat and her phoney sales pitch.

I didn't see the show but I have seen her at other times and agree with those who feel she does a good job. I like her and I like her voice and her accent.
