Can someone who is familiar with his line of clothing tell me if his clothes run small or large? I desperately want one of those TSV lace blouses but don't know about size. I have small shoulders but am heavy otherwise. So I wear a 1x in tops and 2x in blouses. I could wear a 0x or 1x in everything as far as my shoulders are concerned but not the waist and hips. WHat should I do get a 1 or 2. Please help?

For me, Isaac Mizrahi's clothes run small. I would order a size larger. I bought one of his flowered cardigans in large and it was tight. I usually wear a large in Denim & Co.

I usually have to size up in his tops. I'm small through the shoulders, but a little on the busty side.
I sized up on the lace TSV and the fit is good for me.

Hmmm....tough call! I think his cardigans run a little small, but do think that most of his tops are true to size! You'll have to try & see!

I always size up one size for tops but not for pants. If you wear a M in Liz, you will in IM. SG's newer clothes (the last year) are smaller than her older ones so a IM M "might" fit you like SG's M. Please refer to the "click here" feature on almost every garment page online. They used to be 100%, I would say they are 95% accurate. If you have d&co, don't compare d&co sizing with any others on the Q, they already are sized up one size.

In QVC vanity sizing I am a XX-small. In the real clothing world I am a small. So, yes I go down a size in his line of clothing and they fit just fine.

I'd have to say the clothing runs big on me. However, this could be my body and not Isaac's cuts. I'm frequently smaller than the smallest size in many brands and designers from most stores. Judging from the reviews I read more comments concerning the items having a smaller fit than those who say it's too big and you should size down.
Best suggestion is to follow the measurements and take a chance. Because I like Isaac's collection so much I've ordered several things and each one fit me the same, so it stands to reason that whatever your Isaac size turns out to be, it will be consistently the same.
