D & C fashions often have mismatched seams....especially at the side of striped garments...it is a sign of cheap, cheap, cheap shoddy workmanship.
If you won't match the seams, you should use a fabric that does not need to have the pattern matched up....like a small print or solid.
I have complained about this before, recently with a TSV checked dress. Some people don't mind and they buy anyway. Not me.
I have said before that Kim Gravel matches her prints at the seams. Her items are usully more expensive, but better made.

I completely agree with you.

I don't like front center seams on tops. I know the vertical line is supposed to be elongating, but I just don't like seeing a seam there. Side seams & back seams look more polished and professionally sewn. JMO

IMO the mismatched pattern says cheap. Would look better with seam in back.
Guess I replied to the wrong poster. My mind is some place else today.

I wouldn't pay $50 for any item of clothing that I've seen on QVC. Everything, IMO, is way overpriced. As for this particular shirt, it does look lopsided but I'm sure that was intentional. And it's the ubiquitous poly/span. Enough already!

Agree @SilleeMee - there's no way to match the pattern of a busy print like this one.
