Alternative to looking good
and it seems anything can be passed off as "Art or artistic"
@JobGirl,Traditional structured clothing.

@ECBG. (didn't want to print photo again!).....Since I wear mostly tailored clothing, this looks like a coat found at a men's store in the Big and Tall section...definitely not flattering to any body type.
The coat doesn't represent style or fall fashion (or any fashion). Photographs like these that appear on more than 75% of magazine pages & ads on another 20% are way I've limited my subscriptions.
Who are they trying to appeal to? Certainly not the teen crowd or the 30-40 year old group and we Baby Boomers have hopefully found our fashion style by now and these "way out there" expensive and ill-fitting clothes are not hitting the mark.

I stopped my InStyle subscription a few years ago. They sent me bargain price renewal notices for at least 2 years until they gave up.
As far as the cover...I realize it is artistic, but I don't care for it.

@Shanus,Thanks for not putting horrible coat up again! (One is more than enough.). It's for that level of design where you'll find designers like Eileen Fisher. Knock offs and similar designs will be in NY, Paris, and areas where fashion is really active. A structured coat wouldn't match the wardrobes I mentioned.
This is I C Collections, Dillards. I like some of their things, but this one is past what I'll try.
