The color is too bold and striking. The dress is also not very flattering.

That color turns her face grey. Compare it to the other one in which her face glows.  Granted the lighting is different, but, still. 

 

I think both dresses are spectacular.  It's just that this color does her no favors. Neither does her lipstick (makeup) in the blue dress
