Re: IF A FASHION STYLIST VISITED YOUR CLOSET. . .

On her little note pad she'd jot down: "Frisky, playful, fun use of color. Smart cookie--has many more accessories than clothes! Note: only two pairs of slacks; flannel, cuffed, in grey, and pinstripe black. Hmmm. Wait--who cares! WHERE did she get all those phenomenal jeans?!"{#emotions_dlg.w00t}

Re: IF A FASHION STYLIST VISITED YOUR CLOSET. . .

I think a stylist would say I have a nice variety of clothes...perhaps a bit on the conservative side.

I think a stylist would be horrified w/ my lack of fancy shoes....I have only 2 pairs of 'fancy' shoes....and no high heels at all. NONE.

My closet is also well organized to the point of being obsessive...not sure what a stylist would say to that. I imagine a therapist would have a comment or two.

She'd tell me to clean the closet and call her when I'm done. And I need more grown up clothes - too many jeans and flip flops!

She'd probably tell me I should incorporate more pattern into my wardrobe (what she doesn't know is that my brand new Isaac M. boyfriend cardi is in the laundry basket -)

She would tell me that I have too much...I need to pare it down and adopt a true style rather than have so many disposable pieces.

She'd say "Girl, you need more room!"

I have a little bit of everything. I like to experiment with fashion, as well as color . A stylist would probably have trouble figuring out what my "style" is.

She would ask me to decide what size I would like to be since I have sizes from 8 to 18.

Me, too. I am so annoyed, as I have lost a ton of weight, but I am not to my goal weight yet. I was determined to get "just enough" to get by, and yet my closet is packed. Again.

Hence, my year without clothes buying.

I am trying to develop a style, but I am so easily distracted! I love Janice's ideas for a carefully curated wardrobe, but I can't seem to put it into practice. In theory, I love the idea of 2 neutrals/2 accent colors, but in practice, I have at least 6 accent colors.

she would say. ""get rid of all that!"" and then she'd pile it all on the floor--there's no way she could tell me to buy my right size--there is no other size but up---let me keep my Siguerson Morrison shoes and my Chloe dress
