I happen to agree with you wholeheartedly. Not a cardigan fan at all but for the exception of the classic that I wear buttoned up as a shirt. I'll take a jacket or blazer any day over a cardigan. I'm a big fan of structure

I really like the first outfit--fresh and fun for the upcoming season.  Thanks for posting the picture and all the deets for where we might purchase!

@Andreatoo

I agree wholeheartedly!  I am so over the big-unstructured-draped-flyaway-openfront-no need for attention to detail because this lightweight stretch fabric will fit any body or at least that is what we tell them--offerings in the marketplace.

My purchases for the upcoming season will be much more tailored and I am excited to revisit the return of the blouse!

I think the top would look good with long white pants and a pink or red demin jacket. I would not wear those jeans.

I like the overall look.... and that is definitely within my style.... but IMO the blouse is just a tad too fancy/formal for those particular jeans because of the high neck and shirring. I'd wear olive shoes. No need to bring more attention to my big feet. :-)

I got very similar jeans at Kohl's for around $35. Think they were Lee's.

Thanks!  I love a lightweight blazer with jeans in spring...  and I love colored loafers with jeans.  This looks like my uniform.  I'm sooo ready for spring jackets.

@SaRina ~ I tried on Lee's jeans at Kohl's earlier this week.  They were called "Dreamjeans"  and looked like the same stretchy fabric as QF "Dream Jeannes" -- hmmm.....

I might try a metallic ballet.

For those of you who still love blazers, Chadwicks online always has a nice selection of traditional blazers in a variety of fabrics.  Normally, they are very reasonably priced.  Not designer, but basic.

When I worked, I had a wardrobe of linen blazers that always looked great with almost anything.

I've never made the shift to an unstructured top and thought I was just unfashionable!

I still prefer the look.
