I wouldn't only compare prices with Amazon.  I've checked prices and Amazon was actually higher than QVC.

If I find something I like on QVC that is sold elsewhere, I do a google search and check everywhere I can.  Sometimes Q is cheaper, sometimes elsewhere is cheaper.

I bought a pair of Clarks boots last week from QVC.  They were on sale and when I checked other sites/stores, QVC was the cheapest by far.

@Katcat1

i think that it is fantastic that you saved more then you spent. and got free shipping.

i think more and more companies/vendors/brands are adding inventory to amazon and walmart, because they know that more and more people are shopping there and they want to stay in business.

somewhere down the road, i would not be surprised to see qvc's proprietary brands on amazon. as they say, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

i hope that you enjoy your new shoes!

Unless it is a fair trade item, you can almost always find the price an item at varying prices at various sites. Today I bought my husband a pair of Cole Haan sneakers, the original price was $150. The cheapest place was the Cole Haan site, $59. (free shipping)  One site had them full price with $10.95 shipping.

Some seem shocked when QVC's pricing is not the lowest.  I do not recall them ever advertising this.

I think in the very early days of QVC they used to really push the lowest price anywhere spiel.  However, I have not heard that in a very long time as they are seldom the best price anywhere.  In fact they are usually the most expensive place to find items.  I think Easy Pay is their big influencing factor.  Some people don't care how much they pay for something as long as they don't have to pay it all at once.  Sad really.

Bingo!  EZ pay is the biggest come on.  I remember a poster asking about a TV TSV.  Numerous posters gave her MUCH better deals at other sites.  The poster was fine paying a good deal more at QVC because they offered EZ pay.

Don't forget to check shipping/handling costs when you compare prices.
