I think the only consideration should be what you like and are comfortable wearing. Not having model perfect bodies would limit most to only certain boring styles of clothing. Wear what you like and like what you are wearing. You also can adapt nearly any style you like to suit your body anyway. Don't worry that some might think you are too old or don't have the body for anything!!! Not their choice or their business what you wear!!

I think it depends more on your figure than age. Leggings only look good on thin legs.

That's probably closer to what I was thinking.

You are definitely not too old to wear that look! That sounds wonderful. And I am sure you look lovely in it.

I believe we have to use our own judgments. Unfortunately, some people's judgments are not that great. {#emotions_dlg.ohmy}

I have seen teenagers wear the latest style and think --- oh, my word --- they should never, ever have left the house looking like that. I mean, they are young, but their body type is just not suitable for the type of attire they are wearing.

Then, on the flip side of the coin, I have seen older women -- say 70 for example, wearing a similar thing, and they look marvelous. Body type - attitude, accessories - are key.

Making a deliberate effort to appear young by a fashion choice will never work.

I myself don't wear leggings, but that's my choice if you have the confidence and feel you look good, then ROCK it!

When did 50 become old? It's 2015, it isn't 1915. Modern women don't jump into shapeless old lady clothes the day we turn 50. That's ridiculous. There is no age limit for looking good, loving fashion. You can wear your boots/leggings and look fabulous at any age. You just do it in a way that works for your body and your lifestyle. Life is short, live it!

I'm considering wearing it at 63--but I notice that even though my legs look GREAT....the back view has quite a caboose these days. Even so. The jacket will cover that caboose!

Have a 3-way mirror in your house, and look at your rear view. That will tell you if it's OK or not. Has nothing to do with age.

True. But that does not mean you can't have the look you want. I readily admit, I don't have the legs for leggings but I wear the "look". I wear slim knit pants tucked into my riding boots and I wear black with black boots and very dark brown with brown boots. Visually slims the legs.

Leggings and a tunic is a great look for women who aren't 20 or 30. I think some attention needs to be paid to the quality of the material if you have a dimple or two on your back side. Avoid skin tones and brights. Go for it.

It isn't a matter of age it is a matter of attitude. So many younger women really don't have some of the fitness and body issues that the older women have. This has positives and negatives. In my opinion. in general. the figures and fitness of women over 48 today is better than that of those in their 20's and 30's.

There are high quality leggings available.

Slim leg pants looks better than leggings.
