I am not sure if the hosts pick their own sizes in clothing or if there are stylists who pick the sizes, BUT, in my opinion there are hosts who wear almost everything a size too small. If it looks like a top is up in the armpit area, chances are the top is too small. If a pair of dress slacks look like leggings or athletic wear, they are most definitely too small! JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN WEAR A SMALLER SIZE, DOESN'T MEAN YOU SHOULD!

I have often wondered if the vendor is allowed to say something if he/she thinks their item of clothing isn't being shown in the best light...ie being worn one or two sizes too small.
Then I remembered Isaac telling SK she should size up a few times, so whether he was allowed or not, he DID go there!

I often wondered who squeezed Carolyn into pants that were too snug and tops that were too tight. It looked terrible. It happened at least 50% of the time.

I believe the hosts pick the sizing that they are comfortable in. Leah and Jayne Brown have often said I went up a size. You have one host who really does believe that she is an xxs and he clothes look way too tight.

I have long thought most of the hosts wear things too small...and some of the models do as well...when a jacket doesn't come anywhere near closing, it's too small. There is no shame in sizing up...but I find some lines run very large, so it's always a risk, ,especially with returns.

If they wore the correct sizes and were honest about it.......then perhaps it truly would assist the customer as to what size would work for them. What a concept.![]()

I wonder sometimes if they are trying to convince us that anyone can wear anything - whether it fits or not - and look great in it.
Of course that's not true, but when I hear them saying how someone who is clearly wearing something that doesn't fit -" just looks terrific" - and is really "rocking the sytle" etc., it's got to be a deliberate gaslighting sales pitch.
So in other words - ladies if you like the color and style - just buy it and tell yourself you look wonderful.

ha ha ha @jackiejenny I remember IM saying that to Shawn. She was obviously miffed about it. However, he was totally correct!
People get hung up on the size when they should use the "does it look good" idea instead.
Personally I agree that many of the hosts and even the models appear to be wearing a size that doesn't fit. I like my coats/jackets to close so I want to see the item presented with it closed so I can judge if the size I'm seeing presented works or not. I tend to size up in outerwear because I want to wear a sweater or some other layer under it.
I also do not like my clothes to fit me like a 2nd skin. I realize that others may feel differently but that's me.

I remember Isaac saying thta to Shawn as well. He was 100% correct though.
I truly think the only hosts that are a true XXS are Amy, Kerstin and Courtney.
Jen Coffey is probably a Small or XS..
Please wear your correct size, it does not sell the garment very well when you are squeezed into it and it won't close or zip....
Jayne,Leah and Pat pretty much wear their correct sizes when I see them on fashion shows..
Wear the size that you are not the size you want to be....It makes a huge difference.

A long time ago, I remember Kenneth J. Lane telling Jane Rudolph Tracy (? sp) to "size up and look a size smaller".
I have followed that wisdom for years and have never been sorry. Why get hung up on "vanity sizing" just for the sake of being able to say "I'm in a petite xxs"? Who cares?
Life is too short to be uncomfortable!
