I have heard the hosts mention that they had to overhaul the process for offering these original waist side pocket pants. The system was overloaded with placeholders for colors no longer available/offered and adding new colors became impossible. They started over with a new item number and now offer 7 core colors they intend to keep in stock all year and under a separate number 3 seasonal colors they change every few months. One seasonal color already has sold out.

@Kachina624   What a big mistake.  Those pants are so popular and they stop all the colors?  What lame brain thought of doing away with all the colors.  Thanks for the info.

It is because they are made in China. Covid slowdown. Very few garments are made here in the USA or even Europe for that matter. Even the Brick and Mortar stores have fewer items and much of what they have look like last years inventory. I am saving money Smiley Tongue

@Katcat1 I think what @SunValley wrote is right, that they just split the original colors into categories because they are not all available all the time.  If you search for "Denim & Co. Original Waist Stretch Side Pocket Pants", you can see all the colors and lengths they have available.  You can click on the link of my search.  I buy the capri length of this style to wear around the house, A14924, and you can see all the colors there.  I guess since capri is already offered "seasonal" they did not break it down into different item numbers for the seasona colors.  This pant in all lengths is still going strong!  Amazing! Funny that the capri costs more than the regular length.  It used to be like $22 a couple of years ago, and they changed the number to raise the price significantly.  I noticed because I keep the capri pant on my wish list to make it easy to find.

Thanks!  That explains everything.

Maybe they could have a separate number (same style) called 'Colors of Denim' by D&Co''.

That way we would be able to easily find the group which features all or most of the colors which are in season, including colors that are still available from the previous 'colors' season.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

@Calcgirl   The B&M stores have low inventory only because they didn't order much possibly due to their fragile financial statuses.  QVC has hundreds of new items, more than most stores, with many garments now being made in other countries, especially Vietnam.

@ROMARY   They do have separate numbers for the "core" (basic) colors and the "seasonal" colors.
