I might add that in addition to Faire Isle patterns, I also like argyle (diamond shaped pattern) sweaters and especially vests.

I'm in the mood for an argyle vest, maybe in a pastel color for Spring.

I wouldn't buy either if I had the money or found the bargain, secondary to color, which makes me look as if I am jaundiced, but I wouldn't buy it because it is just not pretty to me.  I don't like Fair Isle.  Lots of kids wore them to grammar school and I never liked them then and have not developed a taste for them.  Strange how our opinions are formed early on.

@Nonametoday

Interesting story. We do sometimes form opinions at a young age.

I feel the way you do about vests. I had to wear them as part of my school uniform for 12 years. Then I had to wear one when I worked at a restaurant. After I quit that job, I never wanted to wear any kind of vest again. I did try a few vests in various styles over the years, but I could never get past the uniform vibe. Fine on others, just not for me.

Regarding fair isle sweaters, I think they look nice on others, but I wouldn't own one either. I have broad shoulders, and a sweater like that makes me look like a linebacker on a football team. 🫣

@Greeneyedlady21  The GAP sweater is a great dupe and one could afford to buy a coat/gloves  with the loot they saved!
