@songbird : Just saw a similar pair at the Loft yesterday. The panel on the side was not as wide if I remember correctly.

I like 7's, Paige, 3x1, L'Agence - it's better quality denim and the fit helps give the appearance of a better shape (imo). I tried Mother because they have some cute styles. I did order 1 pair and they fit fine, but they had a button fly which was too difficult to button so I returned them. If they'd had a zip fly I would have kept them.
I've tried some cheaper brands - J Crew, Old Navy, etc...and they just don't do it for me. There is a big difference in denim quality, pocket placement and fit.
I beg to differ when it comes to J.Crew, @jellyBEAN. For one, they retail often at $120 and a few even higher, so that hardly qualifies as "cheapo." And IMO after wearing various brands over the years, I would defy anyone to look at their jeans and see any difference between those that are higher-priced. Plus, they fit like a dream, at least for me.

How about Good American at Nordstrom (Khloe's brand)? I would never pay $200 for jeans but I am not in that age group of I need to have it.

Love 3X1. There are several I love. The qualtiy is amazing. I've worn nothing but preimum jeans for years and years. 7 is the cheapest of the premium jeans. When I was in college, yes I purchased the Old Navy, Gap (the worst of all) I once purchased a Gap jean that cost $19.00. I wore it 2 days before it developed a hole in the unfashionable part of my body. I was too embarrased to take it back.
