Monifa hosted a two hour Isaac show this morning and I have to commend her. No speed talk, high pitched voice or interruptions. She let the designer speak, interjected a bit appropriately and moved the show along.

I haven't seen her in a long time and, to be honest, wasn't a big fan but she has improved greatly if this show was representative of her style now.

She annoys me the way she must comment about every single word a vendor speaks. To me, that's interrupting as it interferes with their train of thought.

Re: Good Job Monifa

I agree completely with the positive review of Monifa!

She was lively, bright, informative, engaging, upbeat and overall, delightful.

I found that she elicited a more light hearted facet of Isaac that other hosts have not.

Great job by Monifa in my view!

  • While I agree her presentation is better than most given her voice patterns, speed and pitch...however, I just watched the video of a sweater I wanted to buy.
  •
  • She never once gave the size the vendor or model was wearing.
  •
  • IMHO, that is very important information.
  •
  • So I didn't order it.

Sorry, I have no idea where those dots came from!  LOL

I like Monifa and feel the same, she has grown on me as I didn't care for her at first.  In all honesty I feel like I'm having difficulty with all the personnel changes on the channel.  Seems silly and no, they are not friends of mine.  I just don't even recognize some of them anymore,

maybe I'm just losing interest in it all and wondering what that "third quarter" will bring with the merge of both channels.  Oh well, I'll keep watching to see the result......

I like her.  I always liked her and I agree she has improved as a host.  Maybe because she's more confident now.  She looks fabulous.

HSN & QVC are not merging!  They are two separate companies just housed in the same building since the Q has many empty studios.  It makes sense to have both networks occupy the same real estate.  As far as changes go, I read on Antonella's post that two long-time Q hosts will be leaving at the end of the year.  She said that we will cry about one of them.  I was thinking maybe it's Leah.  Also, as far as HSN, I read and know that these are the current hosts that will be making the move to HSN PA:  Debbie Denmon, Ty Mayberry, Emily Lampa, Tina Jennings, Nicole Hickl, Tamara Hooks, Susanne Runyon.  I am sure that there may be a few more.  Also, I believe several hosts from Shop HQ have applied for positions as well.  So we shall see.  Debbie D. said she will be moving with her family to PA in June.  Many others will move during the summer since school is over, and the kids will not miss the first few weeks in September.

That's not many moving to PA. I do not care for the last 3 hosts hsn hired last year. Emily is okay but Rebecca and the other 2 bore me to death and talk too fast. They will have some hours to fill after the move.

I thought Monifa did an excellent job and the program flowed smoothly along due to her interaction with Isaac.  I liked her from the start and hope that we now see more of her with Isaac. She is lovely too and looked great in the outfit.
