Victor Costa was my favorite designer and I believe he retired of his own will. George Simonton filled the void for me by providing true designer clothing. George, Louis DelOlio, Dennis Basso and Bob Mackie are truly couture designers, from the creation and the sketch to the finished product. I have so many of George's gorgeous designs and they are among my very favorite pieces that I wear constantly. When I first noticed that George had no shows scheduled and that his pieces were on clearance, I contacted the Q twice and spoke with the order entry operators as well as Customer Service. I could not get a straight answer and made it known that I wanted George to remain on the Q. I also messaged George on Facebook and he responded that he hoped to "see us" soon. I feel so badly for him.
His designs were so special and his personality very entertaining. I never missed any of his shows. All the hype was for the new Halston line, which does not impress me. I have not ordered a single Halston item. The Gili line is totally overpriced. I do not care for the sloppy look of Logo. I have many of Susan Graver's pieces but it is becoming more pricey. Quacker Factory is an excellent line and Angel Smedley is very entertaining. There are many testaments to George's line here in the QVC forums. Please listen to your consumers, QVC, and bring George back. He is one talented and humble human being and is truly missed.

I am sadenned by this news as I really liked George, but in truth it had been a long time since I purchased anything. While the line had some beautiful tops and jackets many years ago it went the way of the liquid polyester and the jackets were suddenly gone.
I think QVC does listen to their customers and they are probably no longer buying. As has been stated, the poly/liquid knit fabrics can now be found in the house brands which are much more profitable.

In response, it is my suspicion that QVC dictates to it's designers the design direction they wish them to follow. That is to say, because currently the fashion direction is toward more casual attire, they probably asked George (and their other designers) to forego the gorgeous jackets of yesteryear, many of which I own and often wear. I do not believe that it was his decision to lean toward more casual designs, rather than his beautiful, more dressy styles. If this is the case, QVC should not blame him for slumping sales, when, I'm certain, he would prefer to design styles for which he has always been noted. QVC should bring George back and allow his creative genius to prevail for those of us who would continue to purchase his clothing in a heartbeat.

I am disappointed in hearing about George Simonton as I have mentioned so many times, and it still amazes me the designers that have their own weekly fashion shows and designated days like Susan Graver and Issac even though I own items from both lines it's not necessarily a show that I need to watch weekly. I guess QVC knows who they want to push out in the front and who they want to push out period.

Hello QVC. Management needs to rethink their current strategy. One of the reasons we shop with QVC is because of the DESIGNERS. If you are into long, oversized, droopy looking clothing, hey......there's Lori Goldstein! But, most of us are into the details of a fabulously created garment and the beauty of it's fabric. The last time George was on QVC he exceeded sales expectations. Read his Facebook page. He was so happy. Then all of a sudden, no George and everything goes on clearance. Same thing with Mark Bower. Mark got picked up by Evine. Hey QVC, I now spend more on clothes at Evine, due to One World and Mark. The only lines I'm still shopping at the Q are Quacker and Bob Mackie. So if you think about phasing out those lines, no cash from me!!! I spend thousand of dollars a year at the Q, mostly on Carolyn Pollack jewelry. The Q is really alienating customers due to emphasis on sales. George is one of the kindest souls on the planet and we soooooo enjoyed learning from him. His knit tops are hanging in my closet looking as new as the day they arrived. Fantastic quality and his florals were magnificient. Isaac better watch out because he could bet booted to the curb as well, so sales, sales, sales Isaac! Can't wait till Logo customers get sick and tired of the dumpy look!

Thank you, George, for letting us know. I, too, have been waiting for you to be back and have been waiting to buy more of your ankle pants. I have pants from Stein Mart all the way to Marc Jacobs Collection pants. I wear yours the most.
I will watch for you to reappear somewhere. Maybe HSN!
QVC, Bring Him Back! Way too much LOGO and Denim & Co. Way too much LOGO. I hate it. It shows every single bulge on the body. I can say that because I am 110 lbs. Still shows every bulge. No go.

Looks like Susan Graver, Denim & Co., Quacker Factory, LOGO, Isaac, and G.I.L.I. are what we will be getting. At least Joan Rivers, Louis, and Bob Mackie are still featured. I see Dennis Basso has shows but often during the night.

Perhaps, he'll find a home on Evine. It;s just business, ladies. The fact is that while we liked seeing George, were weren't buying his clothes. Qvc isn't an entertainment station, we support our favortie designers and products with our credit cards.

I miss george simonton's tops and skiirts. They worked really well for an elderly woman such as myself. I cannot stand the fabric of Logo nor would I ever layer being in a hot flash for last 50 years.Makes me look like old ma the tentmaker,. Also don't like women with control. My wardrobe is now entirely denim & co, quacker factory and the occasional Liz Clairborne. . Hope george is invited back.
