A magazine or tv editor expressing support for a candidate is something new? And means exactly what in the grand scheme of things? And what they hey does any of that have to do w/ the marriage between Clooney and his bride?
I don't ever buy Vogue or any other fashion magazine because I'm a cheap O. But I will flip thru it at the hairstylist from time to time. The people and fashions in those magazine have no relevance to me or my clothing purchases. Never did...even when I was younger and more into fashion.
All that to say...I don't care who the editor of Vogue is. I don't care if they are printing the pictures of the wedding dress. I DON'T care what the editor thinks of any POTUS or any Pol. If a magazine editor doesn't influence my clothing choice...what are the chances that editor would influence an electoral choice.
Kate: It certainly is your right to take that point of view. Similarly, the OP has an absolute right to her point of view. I don't understand the anger that she expresses a view you don't favor.
Not exactly sure what you're referring to. Anger? I expressed no anger in the post above or in any other post in this thread. Just the opposite. I think marriage is a moment in someone's life to celebrate...even if I don't know the person. Getting married is a wonderful thing....staying married is even more amazing.
And to be clear the OP wrote this:
I admit it - I have been in love with George Clooney forever - those blue eyes his great personality - I'm sure many of us had held out hope - but alas today he was married to a beautiful woman.
It was fun to dream !!
So yeah, she has every right to state that...and I imagine lots of us would agree w/ the sentiment.

and I wonder why her and not the other girlfriends.
Why her? They are saying its because she's his intellectual equal.....being an international
human rights Attorney......they actually may have something to talk about....I think George finally got tired with all the bimbos, especially when he met Amal.....Wrestlers and Waitresses just wouldn't do for a lifelong commitment........actually, I'm happy for him that he finally found a woman he wants to be with for the rest of his life....!!! HOORAH FOR GEORGE !!!!

I think she is more beautiful than George is handsome. Didn't think it would be so but she is so strikingly beautiful. Good luck and Best Wishes to the couple. Jazzything

Kate: Yes there is anger in that and other posts of yours on this thread over some posts with which you disagree. Everyone has a right to her own opinion.

I lost total respect for George since he would go from woman to woman and choose his "arm candy" and the woman would be so excited. He seemed to really think he was "all that".
I will no longer watch any movie he is in. Just don't care for him anymore.
I'm happy for George and hope he found the love of his life, she's beautiful and smart too.

I have to disagree on this one. I think George is far more handsome than she is beautiful. She is one lucky lady! I hope the marriage works out great. George dated alot of beautiful women, but he really needed an intellectual type.
