I am amazed   that anyone  would buy into the idea  that the Gili line  was a QVC host's special line which reflected their particular lifestyle......QVC and their hosts  are in the business of selling you a product ....

A specfic host  did not create the line...........Gili is based on designer brands  anyone who shops  would be able to go out look at the market place pick high end shoes, jackets...go back to QVC  who has a entire machine of designers ( not the hosts) and create a similar product to sell on the Q

i thought the concept was  about the article of clothing within the line  and whether or not the piece would work within  a woman's closet..............

The notion that the clothing  would give them a lifestyle like the QVC host  is foreign to me..............

WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH LINE OF CLOTHING. MY OPNION IS THAT IT IS WAY TOO SHORT FOR THE MAJORITY OF WOMEN OUT THERE.  I KNOW THERE ARE ALL SHORTS OF SHAPES OUT THERE. BUT WHEN TOO SHORT OR TOO TIGHT, IT MAKES YOU LOOK BIGGER.

THE PRICES FOR THESE ARE RIDIULOUSLY OVER PRICED.

THAT GOES FOR SAYING - "WHY ARE THE PRICES AT QVC ALWAYS RAISING??? THAT IS ALSO RIDICULOUS.

I'm pretty sure everyone here knows that GILI wasn't designed by the host.  We all know the items were knock-offs of clothing items the host owned or aspired to own.  However, per Lisa's own words after she left QVC, she was heavily involved in picking colors, fabrics, tweaking designs, etc.

When you have a host this involved in the line, owns and wears the higher-end designs, there is something different in the presentations than someone just selling a clothing item to sell it with no connection to it.

Colleen Lopez has her line on HSN which again are copies of higher dollar or designer items.  She presents her line much differently than when she's presenting other lines sold on HSN.

I like the GILI line on QVC.  I own the large collar moto jacket in blush, blush obi, blush T that is longer in back, black strip leather jacket, 3 Roma 2's in Espresso lizard, cream snake and natural ostrich, dazzling blue jacket with faux leather navy trim  dazzling blue t shirt and black rolled neck blouse.  I have loved all of my GILI purchases.  They are more fashion forward and more interesting to me than some of QVC's other products.

My favorite clothing brands on QVC are Linea (the best) and GILI.  I have enjoyed all of my purchases from both of those brands.  They are my style.  I never complain about Denim and Co. or some of the other clothing brands or their presenters. I am simply not interested.

Lisa R has left QVC.  She was a first class professional and great at her job. She had in excess of 250,000 followers on her Facebook page.  Let's face it she could sell and market anything. I still miss her at the QVC.  I also miss Joan Rivers too. Unfortunately, they are both gone. I miss them more as time goes on. But I also like Jill Martin.  She has confidence and skill when presenting the clothing.  It is not Jill's fault she had to take the place of one of the most successful hosts that QVC has ever seen.  She looks good in the clothes and will get better as time goes on.

@Calcgirl  I believe Lisa R. had almost all of them sold out from her Blog before they even got to presentation.

Who is the GILI rep. she does not seem friendly at all or genuine.  The GILI line is way overpriced.  The pumps that are on this afternoon are 139.00!!!  I can get the same type of shoe on other sites for alot less and they are real leather as well.  I know the line is meant to be high end but the items are not all that uniquie to warrant the pricing.  They were also showing a tassled key ring for $39.00 REALLY???? Come on QVC...I will not buy this brand.

This is so I high school..lol.   Since none of you  know how much inventory Q sold in your idol's time vs today's inventory; your theories make no sense at all.  But  I'm sure Lisa appreciates your support....lol.

Not liking GILI at all, lisa robertson from my understanding had input in the design of things based on what she likes and what she own she paid attention to detail, because now its really not good looking . Jill martin half the time seems lost she really need to be more detailed oriented when it comes to selling the line.. lisa robertson sold us a lifestyle and she did it well... sorry qvc do better

Even if Lisa was never associated with the GILI line and I never saw her present it and now I see Jill Martin and her presentations, I would never buy a thing from her.  I think she's a terrible representative for the line.  I really don't find her appealing, personable or prepared.  Like another poster pointed out she looks lost.  The only thing she seems to get excited about is that Obi belt!  Prices have gotten ridiculous and does she copy garments and handbags from her own collection?  And whenever I do see her, why does she always talk about her mother?  Is her mother involved in this line too?

Yes.  G.I.LI. is so boring now.  The new bags are meh.  I miss the Posh shows and the fabulous jewelry.  I don't care what anyone says but Lisa's designs are sorely missed and now the line is just like any other one on the Q.
