I have (and love) the GILI pieced leather jacket. An excellent copy. Without knowing the work that goes into these jackets, it just seems like that would be more difficult to put together than these grommets. And that jacket is over $100 less. Price is crazy (and I usually don't say that.)

Agree with y'all. At first glance the jacket is edgy and cute but next to the original is does not even compare. What is up with the styling, how in the world are you supposed to see details dressed like that. Better yet, how do these people have their jobs styling?

I think the front fringe makes the jacket. Also, the sleeve treatment fits the original style but the GILI did the cheap version and it shows. The GILI jacket misses the mark and at this price point I expected more.

Too bad they did not use the black leather from the GILI moto jacket, it is a nicely finished leather.

I would not hesitate for the money if the style had been there. Too Bad.

Pamela McCoy did a much nicer version several years ago (without the fringe) but with the lacing and grommets. AND, it wasn't over $400.00!

I'm sure it will sell well but if Lisa were still around, it would be sold out by now along with all the other new pieces of GILI.
