I don't understand why Q turns every show into a "find the item number" game. I enjoy watching Inspired Style and Logo on Monday nights and often order items. Last night I am trying to make dinner, answer homework questions and "sneaaka peek" at the TV. I am waiting for the item number for the Lisa Rinna cardigan that Amy "teases" will be available at the end of the show. I try going on line - not there, try live chat-no answer. Finally, by the time the item is presented there is a "frenzy". I am trying to juggle a million things and get my order in! After all of this, the Logo show comes on and again - it's "games and secrets", the item # for a new Logo item will be posted on Amy's Facebook page at 7PM. You have to find Amy's page, what for the link, etc. Why is everything a secret? We all have busy lives and I know I don't have time to play "treasure hunt' to order items. Also, often by the time I go to Facebook and find the host page or the Q page or whatever treasure map they give - the item sells out!! Super frustrating!!

I, too, noticed on my Facebook account (a post from Lori) and saw a new LOGO item # .... so logged on QVC.com to view the item. IT WAS NOT THERE !!
Why the tease .... the entire USA is not on Facebook (during working hours); therefore the Q is assuming this item might sell out. It was a dual-color sweater which I found unattractive after the presentation. I would have known that if was able to view on .com prior to 8:45 p.m. EST.

They want to create all this secret and mystery which then causes the frenzy you speak of because then people impulse buy to grab the item before it sells out. If it's such a secret, it much be really good right?
I didn't watch any of that and saw very little of the IM show with Shawn and PMS with Shawn. But I don't have time for all that game playing either. However, it really doesn't bother me to miss out. It will come back in stock and if it doesn't, something else will come along. There is nothing QVC sells that I really want that badly that I get upset if it sells out.

@giraffe77I never (literally in the real meaning of that word) go to Facebook, so I can only assume when that's the only place they put something, it's because they don't have many of them and just don't need all of us to buy since it's going to sell out anyway.
How they can ever assume that in today's world when people are so fickly unpredictable I really do not know!

I'm not going to do Facebook regardless of what wonders may be there. I don't care for social media so there's no tempting me with anything that would require me to go there. Years ago we were advised by very knowledgeable people to stay clear of it and we do. So if QVC or anyone else wants to lure me into a feeding frenzy, forget it. If you want me to buy something, show it to me, tell me the price and give me whatever information you have. Then I'll decide.

I don't like all the Facebook nonsense either. So, I ignore it. If they want my money, they'll make it easy for me to order. I'm not jumping through any Facebook hoops like a trained seal just to order a top or a jacket. I'm sure there are people who enjoy all that social media stuff; I'm 55 and I am not one of them. I don't care about the hosts and vendors FB pages or their blogs or there whatever. They aren't my friends. I'm only interested in the "stuff" and I'm not going to go hunt for item numbers.

They think they're keeping up witht the times and with the younger generation.
I think they're not in touch with who their actual audience really is. The younger ones still like to go shopping at the mall. The rest of us are the ones buying and watching the shopping channels. Most of us can't be bothered with social media.

I think it's ridiculous.

While I admit I can sometimes get caught up in the frenzy, I know how ridiculous it is. I am not on Facebook and will never be. When the frenzy hits, I order what I think I want before it sells out, and in many cases I end up canceling the item once it is presented or I come to my senses. Not sure if this tactic pays off for the Q because others like myself may also cancel their order soon after being presented and those that truly want the item miss out. If I am the cause of someone missing an order I am sorry, but Q causes this unnecessary frenzy. Well, I guess I do too.
