According to Wiki:

The phrase "emperor's new clothes" has become an idiom about logical fallacies.[29] The story may be explained by pluralistic ignorance.[30] The story is about a situation where "no one believes, but everyone believes that everyone else believes. Or alternatively, everyone is ignorant to whether the Emperor has clothes on or not, but believes that everyone else is not ignorant."[31]

I won't parse words with you. Her clothing is what it is. For those who like it, enjoy. But for those of us who see it as similar to rags draped on the body, nothing will change that fact.

Interesting remember the "grunge look" a few decades back sort of reminds me of that.{#emotions_dlg.glare}

Yes, there have always been fashion "statements" that we look back on and think what were we thinking?{#emotions_dlg.scared}

Remember stirrup pants?{#emotions_dlg.crying}

I call this the "bag lady" look because I remember seeing women who lived on the streets of NYC wearing layers of clothes-- i.e. all they owned.

...

OMG ... that might have been me you saw. Wink

I live in Manhattan, and I wear LOGO and I layer. The shopping card I was pushing was my groceries ... not all my belongings!

{#emotions_dlg.devil2}

HAHA, that was funny!

I haven't tried any of her clothes but I do have some on order so we will see. I wear a lot of cardigans with tanks underneath and I like to pull them down below the sweater line because I have a short rise and I feel it makes my torso looks longer. So I also like tunics.

IMO she has a lot of different styles in her line on QVC, it's all in how you wear them, you don't have to look "frumpy".

{#emotions_dlg.thumbup} You're right ... it's not the clothes, but rather how one wears the clothes!

I don't think the individual pieces are so bad they're basically long t-shirts & tanks. I think they're a bit overpriced for what they truly are. But she's not the only one doing the same style over and over again. Just about every designer on the Q does variations on the same theme (repeatedly).But I would wear a single logo top before I would wear anything in the Quaker factory line!

I think on the little girls it's fine but I never seen any women wearing these tops with the shark bites. I always said that a lot of her long tops make women's hips look huge. Who wants to add pounds when dressing? Some women are buying her clothes, I am not one of them.

I am 5'2 and a 1X. I've finally stopped buying into the mantra that boot cut pants narrow your hips. All they do for me is widen my ankles - lol. A pant that's the same width from top to bottom topped with a square t shirt with a straight line across my widest part makes me look as wide as I am tall. However, a narrow leg pant paired with a long asymmetrical long tunic (mid-thigh), a long tank with a flowing cardigan or a tunic with a soft vest all create vertical and diagonal lines that soften the "box" look. I love the soft flow and interesting details of my LOGO pieces and the play of the unique colors.

Agreed that the "bag Lady" look is not attractive. I have called it that too.

I bought one Logo top a while ago. I only wear it around the house. If I need to run out to the store, I change. Yes, it's that frumpy.

Even the beautiful models don't look good in these tops.

I am actually amazed that anyone buys them at all.

Perhaps if you have large hips, this isn't the most flattering style.

That is not a problem for me. I have very slim hips and the sharkbite tops flatter and balance me.

Isn't it nice to have choices?

I agree ... body shape is key to looking good in the style. I have a narrow body, wide shoulders, small bust.

The clothes hang really well, and just skim my body. I'm careful about fabrics used in layers ... the layers don't cling to each other or to my body.

I have LOGO type tops from Attitudes, Belle Gray and SG. Love the way they all look.
