NOLA is a wild, party town, so probably anything goes!  I would LOVE to attend.  I would do a short fun dress (maybe not a sheath style) in a very fun color for the party and a more conservative and structured short dress in a deep color (navy, darker reds, pinks or such) dressed up with nice jewelry for the wedding and you could wear that one a LOT.  Get a great clutch bag to go with each!

 

A jacket or wrap would be a great touch!
