I am feeling QVC has really fallen off on offering  new and modern styles. Anyone else agree?

I am a very youthful 66 and so many of the selections are so frumpy, look like stuff my mother would wear!

Denim and Co. especially seems to be catering to a much older woman who just wants the same old thing! Whats with all the dorky bathing suits? Pedal pushers,crops and shorts really? So expensive and not at all fashionable.

For awhile there it seemed like they were trying to bring in some new designer blood, but now... even Issac Mizrahi's pieces are frumpy!

Check out fashions on Anthropologie, JCrew and BR.  Many of those items look like things found here, like shirtwaist dresses, tiered skirts, blazers, large prints, etc.  They're kind of caught in between fashion eras with the customer age range.  Some things look old fashioned, but they're coming back or are back in style.

I'm a little older than you and would never wear most of what Q sells. I hate gawdy prints, 1950 granny looks, frumpiness, ruffles, tiers, and everything polyester.

I love cropped and capri pants as they are much cooler in the summer. I wear shorts around the house and when doing yard work - I wasn't blessed with pretty/shapely legs.

I'm really a jeans and t-shirt person but I want a clean line, a casual but classy look. And I want natural fabrics.

You might like the fashion at J Jill if you haven't looked.  They have nice things.

Disagree completely.

I only buy clothing at QVC and look very modern and chic!  Get compliments all the time on my outfits.

I watch for LTS and ODO.

@ECBG - I love J Jill's clothes.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

I went to Boscov's yesterday with Boscov charge and coupons.  Got everything I wanted, on sale and carried to my car.  Hundreds of bathing,suits, wonderful variety of dresses for a wedding, nice choice of socks on sale plus yard items!  Very happy I got up and went out.  Two stores I went in were busy at 11 a.m.

I agree with everyone's posts here actually.

QVC has always had an older audience they cater to, and some things are more stylish than others...sometimes they dumb down things way too much (cost cutting mfrg tactics), and even my 91 y.o. mom, when she was here would turn her nose up at some of those things. She was stylish to the end.

@RespectLife That's great. I too, who shops everywhere from LOFT, BR, small boutiques, Marshalls etc, and likes youthful, stylish clothing, have bought some Q items I get complimented on. It can depend on what you choose and how you style it.

Much of D&C is not my style, but I recently (when Carolyn was still on and I tuned in) bought a few D&C items I really like; all were great sale prices too. Two items were Canyon Ranch...straight pull-on jeans that are fantastic in fit, feel and style. A tencel shirt I love. An athletic black zip up, lightweight, knit jacket to wear when I walk...very stylish lines and fit to it. None of those things look like "frumpy QVC clothing" and look like I could have bought them anywhere.

But those things for me are few and far between, so I see both sides of the comments here, for sure. A lot of what I've looked for or at, this year....are not that stylish as they were a few years ago...CCB, for instance. And others. A lot of meh, corners cut etc.

 And prices for most things are too much lately for what I see them offering.

@Neetgal2,

Boscov's and Kohls are my favorite stores. Love when they have coupons and sales going on.

Glad you did so good at Boscov's!
