Hi everyone,

i spent the last 2 weeks in Normandy and Paris.  Here is what I saw:

Lots of Birkenstocks

Sandals with bling

LOTS of dresses, tiered and otherwise ( weather was perfect, not too hot)

Jeans, always well-fitting,  but no destructed ones

lots of shoulder interest in tops (off shoulder, one shoulder strap, cutouts)

dresses with short sleeves but backless

a few jumpsuits

No large prints, mostly smaller florals

Very few man buns

What did you notice while on vacation?

Birkinstocks and Paris go together because of all the walking you'd do there!

When I was in and around Paris a few years ago I noticed something I thought was interesting. Very few woman wore nail polish on fingernails, but most had polish on their toes. I wonder if this is still the norm?

@Janey2 Sorry I didn’t pay attention to any nail polishing. I always love to see how people are dressed when we travel. However, right now, I have polish on my toes and not my fingers, interesting observation!

@2zbeach  Me too. After years and years of getting manicures I never went back after covid calmed down. I sometimes polish my nails with a sheer white or pink. I find my nails look much more healthy. I always wear nail polish on my toes.

2zbeachh Please report on your trip experience on the Travel forum.  I would love to hear about your trip.  My family went to Paris and London during Christmas and New Year's 2019.  While I loved the sights in Paris including the museums, I much preferred the food in London.  There were some fabulous restaurants in London and Sunday roast at the Savoy was delicious.   I was unwhelmedd by the meals I had in Paris.

@Janey2 I never polish my fingernails.  I did as a teenager and for my wedding but that's about it.  I also only polish my toenails in the summer  My nails stay much healthier without polish.

Good to hear about the man bun! Here's hoping our country men follow suit. 😂
