So glad I kept all the long cardigans and dusters that I bought over the years.
I'm getting dressed to go to a function a little later. Wearing my usual turtleneck, pants and ankle boots ... and was looking for something to wear over like sweater or jacket. It's overcast and cool today.
Now that I got rid of so much stuff, I can see what's in the closet. I found a deep purple sweater knit duster from Attitude. Really well done ... not just a plain flat knit. It has a shawl collar in a open stitch that goes all the way down the front. sections of vertical and horizontal ribbing and godet inserts. I think I bought this before I retired in 2010 and only recall wearing it once before. It got stuck in the back of the closet and I forgot all about it.
Best of all - looks fab over my white shirt and black pants and black ankle books.

Love that look!
I recently bought a light-weight red/rust linen duster to wear to my 50th high school reunion. I wore it over jeans with a sleevless black top that had a gathered neckline and a bit of red embroidery across the front.
While I don't consider myself all that stylish, it made me at least feel up to date. Being taller (5' 6") I felt it added a streamline appearance.
Your purple cardigan sounds wonderful. And, and added bonus that you got to wear it again ![]()

love dusters, long cardigans, and toppers that go anywhere from mid thigh to just at the ankles. it is definitely one of my favorite "looks" that i have been wearing for several years now.
i just need the weather to start cooperating though. our temperatures are not quite there yet.

I too love the look and am looking for a pretty burn out velvet fabric to make a long duster with high side slits.I love the drape and movement when walking in them.
yours sounds really pretty !😊

Sounds like a cute outfit, @ALRATIBA. I loooove the look of dusters! However, I've tried on many in recent weeks and they swallow me up. Even in petite sizes. At 5ft-2 1/2in, it doesn't matter the shape or the style of the duster, I look absolutely ridiculous in it. So, I'm envious of any lady who can wear one and rock it!
