Dream Jeannes vs How Comfy????

Does anyone own both of these brands of jeans?  I  have the Dream Jeannes and would like to know if the fit and fabric are similar in quality etc...

Re: Dream Jeannes vs How Comfy????

I'm so glad I spotted this thread! I buy all my mom's clothes now (she's 89 this month) and when I sent her QF DreamJeannes she fell in love with them.  I want to send her the D&C How Comfy, but wondered about the fit and wear. She's very active and needs clothes that can keep up with her, but are extremely comfortable.

Re: Dream Jeannes vs How Comfy????

I buy both. I think the D&C are a little more loose fitting than QF. They both wash very well. I usually turn them inside out on gentle and dry on the gentle cycle.....seems to make them stay 'new' looking.

I find them both very comfortable....

Re: Dream Jeannes vs How Comfy????

I find the Dream Jeannes  to be a bit too thick and therefore too warm for summer. They wash up nicely and do not need ironing, which is a great feature. The brighter colors fade quickly. Sizing is normal.

Sorry I don't have any of the How Comfy pants.

[ Edited ]

I  own lots of Dream Jeannes and had two items of How Comfy home that I sent back because I like the DJ better.    They are a bit heavier weight, but I also think they are better made.  Also, I get short in DJ and like the way they fit better than the HC petites, which are still too long for me (pants).  I am 5'3".  I also feel the petites in HC are too short in the crotch for me, whereas the short DJs aren't.   I also happen to like the colorways in the DJ better.  I had both pants home in charcoal and I liked the DJ shade better.  Same for the indigo in jeans (dark denim).  It could be that I just have been getting DJs for a longer time and therefore are more used to them but again, the HC petites are too long for me and I think the DJ are better made.

They are rather similar though, and I thought immediately that the HC were a knockoff of DJ. Personally, I'd rather support Jeanne's company, for having brought that fabric to QVC.  If price is an issue. the HC are lower priced in general, esp. if they are a TSV.

Re: Dream Jeannes vs How Comfy????

I only have Dream Jeannes but wanted to try the How Comfy.  Looking at the measurements I think I have to size up in the How Comfy.  Can any one speak to this? Thanks..

Re: Dream Jeannes vs How Comfy????

My daughter has both Dream Jeannes and DC How Comfy.. and she always has to go up one/two sizes in the DC jeans.  She takes a 10 short in DJ and a 12 or 14 petite in DC jeans.  It seems the DJ last longer than the DC jeans... The DC material seems to separate at the seams after a while of washing and wearing.  It doesn't seem to do that with the Dream Jeannes.

Re: Dream Jeannes vs How Comfy????

I remember Jeanne Bice saying that her bottoms were all made by the same manufacturer as D&C.  I wonder if that is still the same?

I any case, I've not tried either of this brand.  I've had the Coldwater Creek knit jeans and I loved them.

I recently noticed that Kohls Sonoma brand now does a knit jean and Lee has now come out with one as well.  I've yet to try the Sonoma ones on and I've never seen the Lee brand in the stores.

Re: Dream Jeannes vs How Comfy????

I have three pairs of Dream Jeans and have three on order.  I only have one How Comfy.

As far as being comfortable, I like both of them.  In the Comfy Jeans I have black and they have faded.  I wash all my jeans the same.

To me the feel and comfort of both brands are very simular.

I wear Tall pants and I'm thrilled that I can order jeans in tall.

Susan Graver, Bob Mackie and other designers need to offer Tall's in a 33-34 inch inseam.  I would buy more pants from the Q and more tunics are needed by Bob Mackie.
