Well I have lost considerable weight and was trying not to buy new pants until goal size. However my current pants are too large. So I ordered from Lands End and going by their size chart and my measurements I ordered medium. Arrived didn’t fit right. Returned to store and ordered the small. Rise is too short so not giving me a good look if you know what I mean. I went to their chat box to get the size in inches for the size small. Gave me erroneous information. Said a small extends from 271/2 inches to a 38? I wanted to know so I could compare to LL Bean which had almost identical pants. Went to LL Bean to order and now it’s back ordered to March 6 so by the time I receive it will be about March 13. They used to deliver in two days. The cost was nearly double than the Lands End prices I paid. All I wanted was a basic pull on slim leg pants in black for work. Sorry for the long winded rant but just so frustrated.

I shopped with Lands End for decades.

Returns and exchanges were always customer friendly.

My last order was my last ever Lands End.

I just try things on and have never found it unusual to have to send things back.  I'm not just an off-the-rack person who can wear about anything.  If you haven't had these issues, you are blessed. To some of us it's just the way it is.

My favorite pants come from Appleseeds.  They come in tall, average, petite and petite short.

I buy their everyday knits in shorts, capris and full length styles.  They wash well and last.

They sell slim leg pants if you need that style.

Once you know your size, they always fit....no guessing.

I still buy Lands End and LL Bean, but agree sometimes it's frustrating when items don't fit...even in the same size you normally wear.

@Allthingsgirly67   Since you are continuing in losing weight wouldn't it be beneficial for you to go in person to a retail store & try pants on?  At least this way you don't have to worry about sending pants back.

Besides, by the time you receive your online order, what you ordered may now be too big.

I went with LL Bean because they offer almost identical items. I loathe in store shopping and with work I don’t have the time. I like with LL Bean so far is to my knowledge their sizing is consistent regardless of what style you buy. I would love to get something from Target. They had a few not in a size small or a medium to try and I needed at least 6 pairs for work. Our work outfits need to be black and I like to keep things simple and uncomplicated.

I tried Land's End based on the number of people here who like it. After three disappointing orders, I am staying with L.L. Bean. Their fabric, fit and quality are better for me.

I have had great luck with Lands End in fact when culling through some Summer stuff I fond something that I failed to return with the sales slip, it was over a year old I called them and they said it was fine to return it. I was amazed

When I placed the order by phone a couple of hours ago the customer agent said as she placed the order it stated it was waitlisted.
