I love the color, but it looks awful on me.  Always has.  I am the same coloring as you.  My mom and sister both look faublous in it.  They both have dark hair and dark eyes.  I would just exchange it for another color.

NAT, they describe the color combo as "stone/blue", and the picture on my screen is a creamy, pale beige.  It's much darker in person than online.

That's the plan, DAR.  I am hoping the "indigo" color is a true, dark, inky blue.

@CamilleP   I would not look good in that color but my sister would.  It is, however, very pretty.  I agree you should swap colors.

I like the color taupe, but it doesn't like me, lol. The only fashion items l buy in that color are accessories: shoes and bags.

I wear taupe in the fall and winter. I have winter coloring. I love to put taupe with navy, forest green, and red.

I'm fair and taupe/greige is not a good color around my face.  When I wear the sweaters I have in this color palette, I wear either a pale blue or pale pink button down under them.  Usually  I add a scarf in coordinating colors.  Problem solved.

If the neckline on that poncho had not been a thick, tall turtleneck, I might have been able to accessorize around it, but I don't think that would have worked for this particular item of clothing.  So it's on it's way back to exchange for an indigo version.  Won't give me the "snow bunny" look a cream/pale blue would have done, but it's better than the zombie mushroom look I would have had from wearing that poncho in it's true color!  Instead, if the blue is dark enough, I'll sport a "bat outta hell" look, LOL!
