Generally speaking, in Linea clothing, I size down one size. I have been buying Linea for awhile now and I'm pretty comfortable sizing down. I still ALWAYS check the click here measurements and once you purchase a jacket, etc. you will get a feel for it.

I'm an xs and usually buy an xs o xxs depending on the style and click here measurements. It would also help to know what size you are and what size you bought.
Talking about the neat jacket (came in taupe, blue and some light colors). The IKat skirt in brown, the open front cardigan. Don't have access to the item numbers right now.
I've not worn anything smaller than a large in at least 10 years. Every other brand I buy from pretty much any source, including QVC, is either a large or sometimes an xl since I don't like things to fit too close, and I really like things loose in the waist. I'll be 80 next month!!
It never in my wildest dreams occurred to me that a large would be too big! Guess I still have a few things to learn!
And I have to say, you are the nicest group of ladies on this particular post that I've found since I joined this board. Thanks to all of you for your helpful attitudes.

I definitely size down in his clothes.
As others noted, check the click here (rather than the Q size) measurements.
And then, if as unfortunately does happen frequently, the garment measurements are off - to the point that the fit is adversely affected - the Q will pay for return shipping.
When the measurements are right, his clothes are great and I highly recommend them.
I am uninfluenced however, by those who insist that when the measurements are off, I should keep the garment anyway and pay to have it altered to the original stated measurements.

I usually get out my tape measure and take a measurement, and compare with the charts under Click Here. This keeps my return postage down. Thanks for all your suggestions. I might try again, but will definitely have to go down at least a size to come close. Is this what everyone else experiences with Linea?

Another measurement to carefully check is the back measurement, particularly if you have either very narrow or very wide shoulders.
The shoulders on many of Louis's jackets are slightly extended to give that desirable "T" shape that makes the waist and hips appear slimmer. The way Louis cuts his clothes suits me to a "T"!!!
