@Caaareful Shopper

THANK YOU for this (sad) news!  "sad for me, Celebratory for Diane," I'm guessing.

When Diane went from blazing RED hair to SNOW WHITE, I knew her retiring couldnt be too far behind.

I have at least 1++ plastic totes FILLED with DG2, esp LOTS of Jeans, (many sizes, incl many gorgeous colors)   incl plus Tops & Jackets..  .. &, of course Diane's "ahead of her time, early onset fashion "jeggings"

NOW, I'll sort thru again, & try those I suspect I might be small enough to fit, before donating/selling those filled totes!

Most are unworn even!  I kind of bought A LOT of Diane's items, over the years, various sizes!  Esp, once she off the Linen, & High Maintenance fabrications, on to jeggings then jeans.

LOVED her items!!

CONGRATS Diane!  Hope all your wares made you "good & very rich" You've earned it!

And that now, the World, & your Life opens up to ANYTHING YOU WANT!    You're "TOTAL  "CAPTAIN-ESS of YOUR OWN SHIP!!"  No more punching the clock, unless you *want* to!

Diane,  Your wares were certainly WONDERFUL to/for me.

Thanks for the memories, lightheartedness, & your fashions!!)

Back in the day, I bought many exquisite silk skirts designed by Diane. I always felt so beautiful.

I really like Sam.  I find I watch the entire presentation when it's Sam.  I never did that when Diane was on, either in person or on Skype.

I give Diane all her kudos for an amazing career though!

To counter one very negative opinion, I LOVE SAM SABOURA.  He is a stylist, not a company owner.  He's good at highlighting positive points of an item.  He was the one that got me buying One World on Shop HQ.  It wasn't his fault that line got stagnant.  Unfortunately DG jeans don't fit me, but I enjoy watching his presentations.

Re: Diane Gilman Officially Retiring

Your post reminded me, I still have silk sweater sets (one navy and one periwinkle) plus a silk wrap skirt from the early days.  Think a cami and chemise in silk too.  Also a purple silk plain blouse.  These items are classic and still look like new.  I never could find fit in the jeans though.  I did just buy a denim jacket in black with the faux suede back yoke for $30, hope it fits.  First purchase of DG in many years.  Wish her well.

Re: Diane Gilman Officially Retiring

A lot of interesting comments concerning DG clothing.  First, God bless and best wishes to a hard-working dedicated woman and entrepreneur, whatever else might be said of her. Next, I love the DG2 Ponte Pieces and the jeans that I've bought have been great, though I only have a few Denim Jackets and Pants. I admit my tastes do not lean towards the exotic and I prefer the Ponte Blazers and Pants in the animal prints and in the solids, which allow me to match with coordinating pieces and create suiting because you can't see the studs in the jeans and the Jackets look 'tailored'.  I must admit that I take DG2 wherever I can find it, even if not on HSN. Smiley Happy Be well and live long, Diane and we will continue to look for new designs and new pieces.

Best wishes to Diane!  I have had a lot of her clothes and they helped me a lot when I had to dress for the office every day- I could getaway with her soooo comfy trouser jeans or velvet pants-  Thank you Diane! I hope there are more good garments to come! I'll be watching! 💝💝👏🏼

Re: Diane Gilman Officially Retiring

I only wish Ms Diane Gilman the most wonderful, well-earned retirement and all the blessings of God.   What my husband and I really enjoyed were her many stories, pictures of her apartment, and her hilarious cats.  The clothes were second.  The best time to get them would be, of course, on a special or clearance.  Never pay full price if at all possible.  And then, she also made it through cancer in public with the support of her online community, and we all went through covid together stuck in our houses.
