I just don't think that QVC understands what I consider to be a clearance price. Or I have too high of an expectation . . .either way, I won't pay their sale prices.

@nycalady $82 tops are practically non existent at any shop I consider more upscale than QVC.

Ever since I listened to a recent episode of "Are We On The Air" podcast with Shawn Wilsie, "Year in Review" of Home Shopping networks...I never forgot the point they made about QVC's, once again, "diminishing returns" and BIG debt...that they were trying to mitigate things by "making bigger margins" ie. charging more...note to myself....that's why the overly high prices as comparing similar items to other retailers.

Just can't forget that. I don't need to overspend so they can manage their debt and diminishing returns. I'm very selective shopping on Q, these days, only occasionally, and after I've compared elsewhere, if it's on sale, if I really need/want it, and can only get it here (which happens rarely.)

Their numbers continue to be not where they need them to be, they're trying to survive...the customer is being overcharged for them to stay afloat.

I know it's become cliche' to say this here, and some might disagree, and not everything is "apples to apples" comparing QVC items vs. elsewhere...but this tee..."Walmart, Target~ $18.99." $80...that's like that $100+Slatkin candle I thought was crazy months ago. (I KNOW...I've seen candles "out there' for $300+" too....also crazy, imho.)
