Lot of complaints about"quality" at the Q. esp. fashion. What is your idea of quality?

I have no complaints about quality and if I launder according to label directions no prob.

I have no complaints about the quality of items I've purchased and it doesn't depend on the price.  I have found that "you get what you pay for" is not always true.  I've bought very little from QVC and only on sale and free shipping.  I find quality and value at other retailers.

I feel pretty much the same, @Group 5 minus 1. I've never had anything shrink or fall apart in the wash, or come apart while I'm wearing it.

I've never bought really high-end clothing/shoes, though, so I don't know if there's any real difference.

I consider most of the fabrics in Q's clothes to be low quality. Polyester and spandex are their primary fabrics and, IMO, are inexpensive and cheap feeling. For me, it's like wearing a plastic bag because it doesn't breathe and holds in body heat.

I always shop around for clothes. I can always find more natural fabrics/blends, even no-iron cotton, for less money than Q charges for cheap synthetic fabrics.

I havn't been disappointed in QVC's quality. I rarely return items unless something doesn't fit.

I did experience my denim and company beach pants fall apart, not on a seam, the fabric split and they were not tight. I hang most of my clothes to dry because the dryer is not good for them. I felt, for the price, those pants should not have split. I use Tide, no scent laundry detergent, no fabric softener, wash in cold. Good thing I was home and not out somewhere when it happened.

Quality means to me a few things; the fabric used. There is a huge difference in the quality of a cotton tee shirt that you may buy as a souvenir vs. a cotton tee from a place like LLbean or Lands end. The quality of textiles is not the same. For instance, the staple length of the fabric. The longer the staple length, the more durable the fabric from piling, fraying. Poor quality of cotton may feel rough. Hence, the difference between a $5.00 tee shirt purchased at a beach stand and a better tee shirt.

The other thing I mean by quality, is the style, fit, finishing of the garment. Is the garment finished at the seams, darts? The style counts. Nice items are usually nicely finished at the seams.

Susan Graver always talks about how clothing items are finished and the fit of her trousers. Here items are nicely made too. I do think that D & C quality has slipped, probably trying to keep the brand at a more affordable price point.

I think an example of good quality items from QVC is the Lina by Louis Dellilio line, Issac has some nice things, Susan Graver. Louis had some very nice things, designed to flatter a woman.

Those are thoughts on my idea of quality.

I've never shopped in high-end showrooms...so I would define "quality" to be as good as a garment I would construct for myself.

Many complain about the quality of clothing on the Q yet they say they shop for "fashion" at Target, Walmart, etc.  While I don't shop at these stores, I have my doubts that they sell quality clothing -- maybe I'm wrong but I doubt it.

If one pays attention to fabrics and details of an item they may not be so disappointed.  Not all cotton, linen or other natural materials are the same quality.

Back in the day QVC advertised that they would seek out the " best quality " items and not just sell all the random low quality items from China.

Now a days, say when you buy from QVC there may be 4 items or two packaged together and invariably my experience is atleast one or two  of the  items are defective.

It's like they package  defective junk  as  many might not send back  instead of the company taking a loss on defective items.
