Re: DO YOU HAVE TO RETURN ITEMS? IF SO, WHY?

I'm returning a Denim & Co item tomorrow, a denim jacket. The website says it's 24-3/4" long and it's only 23". That's too short, especially when allowing for some shrinkage over time. I'm very disappointed.

Not much. Mainly because of color or density of fabric. If you can see the hanger through the fabric I don't buy it.

Re: DO YOU HAVE TO RETURN ITEMS? IF SO, WHY?

I have been shopping at QVC for almost 20 years. Very few returns until the last year or so. Once, I received a different item than ordered. One damaged/broken item, no reorder. Two obviously defective tops. I will not mention the brand. One torn top. And several garments that just didn't fit well. I always order clothing using the (click here) measurement chart, and sometimes they are still off. I do love that feature though, it's gotten me spoiled! So, overall, not too bad.

Sizing, fit and or quality if the clothes. If you try it on and it looks horrible on you...you gotta send it back.. Sometimes you are sent the wrong item entirely....

Re: DO YOU HAVE TO RETURN ITEMS? IF SO, WHY?

I return a fair amount, but I purchase a lot. I return because: colors don't suit me, the sizing isn't quite right, purses aren't going to work (and it's pretty difficult to buy a purse without seeing it - except for orYANY in my opinion), shoes hurt, even jewelry sometimes doesn't look right on me. Those who say they never return anything must not buy a wide variety of things. Maybe they buy mostly household items. I don't know. We bought a Keurig one time about 6 years ago as a TSV. It made noise like a jet plane taking off and shook my whole kitchen counter. We sent it back. You couldn't even hear our TV in the other room. We did purchase the next time Keurig was a TSV. They said it was quieter. It is and we love it!

I buy a lot on QVC, so my returns will be higher than someone who might buy four items a year. Just because someone returns things doesn't mean they are wacky. (not stating that to anyone here, but on former threads it was like a badge of honor not to return - LOL)

Usually household seasonal décor doesn't get sent back, but occasionally even that does.

Re: DO YOU HAVE TO RETURN ITEMS? IF SO, WHY?

Years ago I used to return clothes for quality or fit, but it's been alot better. Now I almost always order things that have lots of reviews and it's helped. I rarely jump on new TSVs. My returns over the last year have been defective home goods. I recently returned valerie pedestals that were different heights and tomorrow I'm sending back a luminara candle that doesn't work.

Re: DO YOU HAVE TO RETURN ITEMS? IF SO, WHY?

I was like you, bought a TON, returned what didn't work, much less than half. When I got the returns letter I looked back to my history and one year I returned all 7 items I bought...no letter. Then for a few years my purchases went way up, because I was home...spent so much!I think if you buy a lot they look at you more closely. I returned bad fits, jewelry and clothes, as is items that were too trashed, defective items, and sometimes just didn't like. Anyway now I don't buy. That cut back in my returns 100%! Not saying I never will, but I don't come on often, don't look at the LTS or TSV, gave up watching on TV years ago. My bank balance is way up!

Re: DO YOU HAVE TO RETURN ITEMS? IF SO, WHY?

Over 20 years, I've rarely returned anything. Mainly it's been due to sizing (shoes too tight, skirts/coats way too long).

Re: DO YOU HAVE TO RETURN ITEMS? IF SO, WHY?

Fit issues, make up/skincare that really did not deliver as it was presented ,clothing and handbags that literally STINK I do not tolerate that would not buy in a store like that and have to wonder to wash ,air out whatever - not acceptable!! Most of the household stuff, jewelry is not returned. I have shopped for 20 yrs - bought a lot and have returned some also but never got the "letter"

One reason only...The sizing was off.
