I think that is one of the most beautiful sweaters ever, and how I missed it when it was available who knows! The embroidery almost looks Celtic, or like the illuminated manuscripts from ancient texts. Wish we could have it return, or a new iteration of it with that embroidery......

@ALRATIBA Nawh! They knit it or do I have to?
Yes ... but knitting is not only a great hobby - you'll end up with a fantastic knit wardrobe and it's healthy for you!
See: Living Well: New Study Reveals Unexpected Health Benefits of Knitting article in Chicago Tribune ... It says, in part:
The key to a healthy mind and body might not just be diet and exercise. A new study shows knitting can also play a role in your well being. (snip)
Included in the Knit for Peace study was research from Harvard Medical School's Mind and Body Institute, which found knitting can lower the heart rate by 11 beats per minute on average. As a result, blood pressure also drops. (snip)
The study also found knitting can distract from chronic pain, slow the onset of dementia, and also reduce loneliness and isolation.

Maybe we should ask Louis over on his website?
The embroidery is outstanding, I agree, @author

just plain......and great fall colors......dark brown, hunter green, burgundy, charcoal grey.....
@kelsey17 It’s difficult to find the mid-hip length, right? Tunics seem to prevail.
Definately on QVC............i have been able to find some nice mid hip length items on Macy's website and Kohls at times..............not buying much lately....the tunic length does not look well on women with the majority of their weight in the middle area like myself....to me it accents the weight when it is tunic length....

Louis probably has the design in his archives!
.
Hi @author I don't doubt that for a second. He often mentions such and such design is from such and such collection. I would think every designer keeps every design he or she creates.
So if enough people still like this one, perhaps he'll make it available for purchase again.
ETA: I just posted our request on his blog.

V-neck for me....I love the look of turtlenecks, but my internal furnace kicks into gear with them! Flat knit with no buttons, zippers or any embellishments. A soft fabric like cashmere and colors of black or jewel tones, especially saphirre or tomato red.

Crewneck Irish fisherman sweater. Dark navy.
Bought a lovely one from Woolovers.

I am short-waisted: I would like to have the sweater go to my mid-hip. I prefer a pullover with a simple crew neck--and dolman sleeves.
