@ALRATIBA  Did you see Jennifer Miller duster that she wore this morning? Granny Squares multicolored. She was showing her new heart necklace. Duster is so pretty. I can make granny squares but don't know how to attach them to the trim and connect them.

My thoughts exactly!

I'd love to see one of Q's designers 'copy' that beautiful crochet duster!

Even if it's not as long as a duster's length.  Maybe a long-ish cardigan......

@gtx

No, I didn't see it - and there's a different video with the item now.

BUT ..... you can sew them or crochet them together - which method I use depends on what I'm making.  More often than not ... I sew them together.

Check You Tube - lots of video instructions.

There's a book that I recommend - you can get it at Amazon.

Connect the Shapes Crochet Motifs:  Creative Techniques for Joining Motifs of all Shapes; Includes101 New Motife Designs ....  by Edie Eckman

While you are at Amazon ... check out some of the other granny square books.  I have a bookshelf full of them.  Lots of great ideas/patterns out there.

Have fun!

#ALRATIBA There is a picture of the duster on Jennifer Miller apparel website. It is $350.

Thanks!  Nice looking duster!   Terribly high price for something that's so easy to make.  Doesn't even take that much time to make.

Just "google" granny square cardigans."  Lofs of free patterns out there at yarn co. websites.  Also - check Pinterest.

That's extremely easy to make.  Somewhere around here I have a picture of one I made quite a few years ago ... that's since gone to Goodwill.

Depending on the yarn you use, you can make one yourself for as little as $50.

'Hey'........Maybe making a crochet vest might be easier.........

I'd love to have a JM crochet vest.  Slightly long-ish.

#ALRATIBA I think it is worth the price, considering all of the different colors of yarn that are used and for me it would be a lot of work.

@gtx

The price is very good for something that's handmade. Assuming "good" yarn ... it's a steal considering the number of hours involved.

It is a lot of work ... easy work, but still work.

I recently made two crochet granny square cardigans (three different size squares, and rather unusual layout).

Making the squares was the easy part - sewing them together and adding a border took longer than the squares.

I started crocheting a granny square sweater once but got sick of making all those squares so abandoned the project, which us unusual for me.

Jennifer's  sweater was striking and very pretty.

My first year teaching, I made a crochet jacket from a magazine cover.  It was uncomfortably heavy and hot.  No way!
