Luckily, I have a scarf with tangerine ball fringe and it looks great with a blue or a natural top. I find the tangerine looks good with navy and with gray. I like for my column of color to be a matching neutral pant and top with a colorful jacket. This makes a slim effect top to bottom.
I agree. I would try a navy WK top with navy pants that you know do coordinate (or black or tan/latte) then wear the aqua or tangerine over that 'column of color'. That's how I always understood the look. The column goes underneath with the color pop as the jacket or scarf. Finish with a scarf as Princess did above or say, chunky turquoise jewelry.
That's probably why tan, black, navy, grey are considered 'neutral' wardrobe building blocks.

I just had my heart set on the top and sweater matching. I can get past that. I do feel better about it after reading all the helpful suggestions. Great suggestion, Gardens. I have that top & forgot all about it as a match to the aqua cardigan. Perfect.

I am in no way criticizing our leader, just lamenting my fate. I think the WK pants in navy match the sweater. Do you agree? What color tops would you suggest for the aqua and tangerine, and hibiscus sweaters. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
We really have no idea if Louis offered matching Tangerine and Hibiscus pieces to the Q and the buyer declined. He designs a lot more than ever sees the light of day on the Q. He warned us in advance that there were no new matching pieces. Those lucky enough to get the Aqua WK pieces two years a go have a WK match. He will try to bring the Aqua back next Spring---if the buyer will have it! If you read Louis' blog, you'll find out a lot more about the pieces and the rhymes and reasons therefore. The Q Linea buyer has a set budget and she makes choices that we may not agree with had we had a say in it all. When a single item sells almost 5,000 pieces, like the Georgette Shirt & Tank did on Monday, one can only hope that the Linea budget gets increased....fingers crossed.

There you go, a winner!! There's always a Linea gal to the rescue. I also forgot about the lace tops.

Another great look with the tangerine is the new Linea Leisure Skirt in Navy with the new Linea Leisure tank in navy. Comfy. No sleeves. Column of color where the 2 navy pieces do actually match each other. And throw the tangerine on top. Beautiful! This navy column in Linea Leisure - don't forget you can replicate the same column of color with the new Linea Leisure matching navy pant instead of the skirt - also works under Hibiscus.....Just doesn't work with the navy shade of the ottoman/milano sweater. Sadly. I had my heart set on a match there too but no dice. But when you realize you can make a million OTHER outfits by going contrasting colors over a column of color of your choice - not such a bad deal.

SHEESH- No need to go to such great lengths defending LDO. I am fully aware, as are you, that he sketches many, many things that don't get past the QVC Gods. I was just being a brat and as I said in my post "lamenting my fate".
