She has some gorgeous colors. Its just when too many colors and/or patterns get mixed together that I don't care for it.
I agree about what is considered a paux fas becoming all the fashion, and that pendulum swinging back and forth.
I've been buying pima cotton from Lands End for decades, lol. So I agree that Isaac should not tout it as his "discovery".

I relate much of it to how some (not all) of the top designers show their items on high-end fashion runways. All sorts of items/colors being shown at the same time/all together. Sort of a dramatization to prompt an element of surprise, excitement.

LOL, my stepdaughter is a talented seamstress and learned to make quilts at a young age. She likes to buy shirts and blouses at thrift stores, take them apart and make one shirt using "parts" from several different items. I applaud her creativity but I don't think I would ever wear any of her creations. ![]()

If you listen to the advice given on the show, they are selling the items to go together. But I realize that doesn't mean everyone is buying that way.
I think I saw one T of hers that I liked once. But the prices are mostly prohibitive; I will go up the street and shop at Cato's before I'll spend $60 (or more!) on a simple T shirt. Yikes!

Yes, I find the prices shocking. Granted, I'm not buying any of this line but my eyes bug out when I see some of the prices!

@AussieLuvr Google Catherine Doll some time. Her Clothing Collections will come up. She repurposes clothing from tee shirts mostly, and her clothes sell in boutiques in the three digits, e.g. blouses are about $210, dresses/jumpers little more than that, skirts around $200 or so...

Holy Batcave, Robin! lol
Ellen's (my stepdaughter) creations are at least as nice as Catherine Doll's; in many cases even nicer! I just emailed her to take a look. She's getting married and they just bought a house, and are trying to think of a cottage industry they can do from home to make extra cash.
She could TOTALLY do this!
Thanks!

@AussieLuvr And I don't think either your stepdaughter nor you would appreciate people referring to her handiwork (if she does make similar clothing) as "bag lady clothes" or "rags."
By the way, Doll often uses red and pink together, a formerly "taboo" color combination. I remember when that was a big "no no" but Doll felt that pink goes with red and it's pretty fabulous. I have a couple of those pieces and more than a couple of pieces from her clothing line, which is how I'm familiar with it.

@MacDUFF. Never heard of this line, is it pricey?
