@bonnielu wrote:I carefully buy them and they are just fine on me. I did get a reaction from my hubby however. He only saw one side and wondered if I had torn my shirt and he could wait for me to change before we went out together. I guess it is a guy thing. LOL
LOL Yes I do believe it is a guy thing and them not having a clue about what is the latest fashion!! That is why I got so tickled at my husbands' response.

Thank you for reminding me how lucky I am to have the husband that I do.
Stories like this always make me appreciate him more

Funny! I hope she was wearing $100 ripped-up jeans to complete the outfit.
I dont mind that style but like anything needs to be well done. But for me personally it’s too faddish and youthful. I don’t dress “old lady” but tend towards basic styles and avoid anything which might be here today gone tomorrow because I keep my clothing quite a while. (Hasn’t worked well with animal print which I avoided for years but it’s still here! Lol)

@Kitlynn wrote:My husband I were out to dinner yesterday and a woman came in. She had on a cold shoulder top that had spaghetti straps and the sleeve part was really hanging down low on her arms by her elbows and looked very floppy. My husband leans over and says to me " that woman must not realize that she has torn both the sleeves on her shirt and they are just hanging by a thread! Ha Ha Ha!! I explained to him what a cold shoulder design is. He replied "well that is just silly to pay money for something that looks tacky and like you have had some kind of accident." Ha Ha Ha
@Kitlynn As w/ all styles, if enough are purchased, the “designers” will continue to make them.

@millieshops wrote:In all fairness to the designers, some cold shoulder tops are designed better than the one you saw. However, just because someone else can look okay in a well-made piece doesn't mean it's for everyone. No way. I don't care who the designer is - I don't know of any designer who does a good job of dressing everyone.
I think there are myriad fashions many of us would do well to think twice about. I have never once, for example, tried on a pencil skirt and thought I looked okay in it and yet many women do. Same with tucked in tops of all sorts - just not flattering on my body type even when the garments are well designed and well made. I just know they're for someone else.
@millieshops Good to hear that you know what works for your body type. The hard part is finding those items in good fabrics at affordable prices.
