i love these and yes you could style the same.  the halston is really great.  the only thing is they would only be in style a couple years (i think) but that would be entirely up to you as far as how often you keep and change your wardrobe.  but, again, i would purchase. they are me!!!

I would like one that is cut-away and not necessarily a "cocoon."  The fabric even in the H cardi might be OK in petite if it looks like the tweed coat from the side... "cut-away and trim." (IMO)
