Oh, yes, I remember Prell.  At the time it was considered luxurious, but I remember being told by a long-ago hair stylist that it was like washing your hair with floor cleaner 

Have no idea if that was true...think she was trying to sell me some product at the time.

I was using Breck at the time.  Not sure either is still around.

Oh my word I just noticed I typed Pearl instead of Prell.  Your right @faeriemoon  it was a pearl they dropped in the bottle so that may be where my mind was at.  I did use it for awhile as a teenager back in the 70's until I read how harsh it could be on your hair.
