I believe in historical facts.

In fact, Gabrielle - Coco Chanel - was a Nazi sympathizer & informer according to the BBC, NPR, the NY Times, and many more reliable sources & documents. Declassified documents revealed that she collaborated with the Sicherheitsdienst, the Nazi intelligence agency during WW2.

Her love interest was Baron Hans Gunther von Dincklage who worked in the German embassy close to the gestapo. Chanel became Anwehr Agent F-7124 in 1941. The Paris Hotel Ritz doubled as a Nazi headquarters.

In 1924, the Wertheimer family backed Chanel's launch of her perfume. The onset of Ayranization laws during WW2 forced Jews to give up their businesses, and Chanel used that law as an opportunity to grab that branch for her own business.

Chanel arranged for Lombardi's release from a Spanish prison, but that never happened because Lombardi exposed Chanel as being a Nazi spy.

Chanel was arrested in France. She escaped to Switzerland after WW2 for almost a decade in order to avoid criminal charges of collaboration. She went back to Paris in 1954. Many biographers believe that her association with Winston Churchill prevented her from being prosecuted.

@Desert Lily I have no interest in her. Typical how the French forgave her. She was a terrible person that sometimes designed clothes.

I am actually reading her bio right now. Many photos included and some of these do not look like anything she would have created. She was unique and talented for sure.
