People are always talking about chafing when wearing dresses. I wear dresses all the time and have never experienced chafing. I don't get it.

Fuller thighs tend to rub against each other, causing chafing. If you have thinner thighs, they probably don't rub. That's just my take on it. I'll be interested in what others say.

I have thunder thighs and yes, you will get chaffing.
Sweaty, sticky, uncomfortable skin on skin rubbing.
I could never wear a dress without some kind of boy short/longer panty.
Even when I was a size 4 in my 20's my thighs still rubbed together.
Never been a thigh gap kinda gal 😂
Consider yourself lucky if you've never experienced this.

Even if your legs are thin or toned, if you have more fat distributed on your inner thighs they rub together & it's painful. I think its just how some people are built.

@AZfem @You are correct. One can be thin and still have legs rub together at the top. It's a genetic thing. That's why the undershorts (panties that look like shorts) are so popular. Those type of panties were life changing for me (it meant I could comfortably wear dresses without tights or hose.....when folks wore those.....and I'm not overweight.)

When I was heavier I had really bad chafing since my legs are thinnr its no longer an issue, even though I still have large thighs

It is a thigh thing. The long panty underwear is great when you want to wear dresses.

I really don't understand the point of this thread. We are all built a bit differently and most of us have something about our physical selves that we are not thrilled with. We deal with it and move on.
If you have slim toned upper thighs and let's add toned upper arms to the mix as well, consider yourself lucky. Maybe you earned it by working out regularly and eating well. Or maybe you're one of those who was born with good genes.
I really don't have " chafing " on my upper thighs and prefer to wear a boy panty if I had to wear a dress. I solve that problem by not wearing dresses. I don't like them.
On the other hand there is a thread right now about sandals. I wear them everyday all summer long and beyond. I have great looking feet particularly when I get a fresh toe polish change.
I understand that there are plenty of women who feel that they don't have attractive feet. Some won't wear sandals. Yet I can't imagine asking how do they deal with it.

I never have chafing but a friend who runs much more than me does. It indeed can be a thing and can be uncomfortable.

It's 100 percent a build thing. My mother works out every day and eats like a saint. She has thigh rub. I walk everyday, eat mostly vegan I am built more like my father, so no thigh rub. My sister, has thigh rub.
