@Kachina624 , I agree with the summer patriotic apparel. I searched a number of times and the pickings are slim. They have a few with stars/stripes themes but they're sweaters with long sleeves! During the summer here, we have 90-100 degrees. I know it's not like this everywhere, maybe on everyone's yachts or in the Hamptons, and I don't expect anyone to cater to my shopping needs but a few choices would be nice. It still amazes me that with KG always saying she's a GA girl, that she even makes clothes that are polyester! Just wear a Glad bag![]()

I have enough red, white and blue to find something to wear around the 4th of July, so I'm not buying a sweater with flags, stars or stripes. Likewise, I don't yacht (LOL), so I'm not buying a sweater covered with anchors.
As far as other sweaters, I might need one in the summer if I eat at a restaurant that has the AC set really low (like 60 degrees), but I usually take the same sweater or light jacket regardless of what I'm wearing. I have a KG sweater I bought years ago that is the perfect weight if it's chilly and I have a few light denim jackets that can do the trick too.

I have a V neck flutter sleeve top in red white and blue from Susan Graver that's very pretty and I purchased a button down shirt from her line in a red white and blue print a few days ago.
I also have a red white and blue print v neck from Kim with 3/4 sleeves and her Portofino poncho in red white and blue.
I have a navy Quacker Factory maxi dress that I bought years ago with a little flag in front - love it.
A lot of just plain red, white, and blue.
I though Kim's crops with the little stars were cute - bought those last night.
Between Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day not to mention Flag Day, Veteran's Day and Patriot Day there are always a lot of reasons to wear the colors. And a lot of cookouts & parties, fireworks, Community Days, etc.

They do look a bit too heavy for a summer sweater.
With all the "machine crochet" items they showed in previous years, you would almost expect to see more of it this year.
I have a bunch that I made ... lacy crochet and fine gauge cotton yarn.

I've read that Phoenix is worse now in the heat because by sundown it's slower to cool down. Because of asphalt and concrete. It absorbs so much heat, yet slow to release. The more they build in there, the hotter if gets. There are much cooler places in higher ground in Arizona. Why the draw to Phoenix? What is wrong with Sedona? People go to Arizona to retire. It's not like they have to work...
Yes it's hot but we just stay indoors. Sedona is super expensive with a small house at only 1200 sq ft starting at $800,000 and going up to the millions, and the traffic is just as bad with all the tourists. And to be honest, it isn't all that much cooler up there. There are lots of things to do in Arizona. You can drive up north to get away from the heat. Sure there isn't much going on from May till October but when it cools down there is plenty to do.
