Been cleaning out drawers & closet. Found some sweaters I had forgotten about. Brand is Victor Costa bought on the Q. OMG they have to be at least 12 or 15 or maybe even 20 years old. They are pullovers and still beautiful. Both have a gorgeous sequin & bead design on the front. Sparkly but tastefully done. Not gaudy. And Simonton Says blouse, also old but still wearable. Things you just don't see on the Q anymore.
Been going through my drawers trying things on to see what still fits over my Covid fat.

QVC had some terrific designers back in the day. These designers had already established themselves in the fashion world. They brought creative, well-constructed garments of natural fibers...wool, silk, cotton, linen...with prices well-worth the quality. I had so many great outfits for work and for going out. Those days are gone. I just purged my closet and most of the things I gave away were QVC items that were bought in the last three years.

I was thinking for some reason about Gabrielle T. She designed beautiful sweaters at a reasonable price. Victor Costa was also another good designer. I miss Koos. IMO the celebrity "designers" of today cannot equal what was offered on QVC in the past.

Definitely agree! Back even 10 years ago, QVC had real designers, and quality garments. I don't consider Susan Graver or Gary very good designers.

You'll never find quality like that now. I still have QF shirts with button covers. That's all they originally sold when QF came to QVC.

Oh I remember those button covers. I used to remark to DH how unique they were. It made QF stand out and at a reasonable price. Those were the days!

@shaggygirl I still have a drawer full of those button covers. I never used them because I was afraid I'd lose them. Now what do I do with them? I can't just throw them away.

@shaggygirl I remember Victor Costs who had some beautiful things. I am cleaning out drawers as well and found clothing as old as 20 years. it finally dawned on me that the clothes the Q sold 10 to 15 years ago are of tiner quality than any the clothing prduce the Q sells today.
