just watched "Breakfast" a few nights ago.

 

It's hard to imagine, but Truman Capote really wanted Marilyn Monroe to play Holly Golightly!!    Marilyn's acting coach told her to turn down the part because she thought the role (as a Lady of the Night)  a poor choice for Marilyn's film career.

 

i loved her fashions and the scenes in NYC.  And George Peppard!!  omg was he gorgeous! 

 

Also, it was Paramount i think who did not want Moon River as the main theme. Audrey piped up and said you'll remove that song over my dead body!!

She was always classy up until the very end.

No matter what films she did she was always AH. Did not care for her acting style.
