"Icon" is used quite a bit nowadays but it certainly epitomizes Audrey Hepburn.

I tried to picture myself in the first hat and laughed out loud. But on her? Beautiful!

I have a friend who fled with her mother and siblings to London to avoid the ravages of the war.  She married an American and she still loves the British ways of hats, gloves and tea parties, and still speaks with a very nice British accent.  She is very gifted, resourceful and very intelligent as well.
