Hi @Puzzle Piece,

I don't think aging is an impediment to wearing dresses.  My grandmother lived to over 100 and all she wore was dresses.  I don't think she owned any pants.  She was a seamstress until she couldn't saw, and wore what she liked; she made her own clothes until she couldn't.  She knew what fit her, and could make it!

Look at all the older ladies on TV, news and politics.  Lots of dresses.

I am 62 and enjoy wearing dresses, wear them often.  From QVC, my favorite styles are from Logo and Isaac, with sleeves.  I need sleeves.  Basso sometimes has dresses.  I find lots of dresses to like.  Shift dresses are the easiest to wear.

This is one of my most recent dress purchases.  Dress is very forgiving, though it doesn't look it.  I am about 5'1" and the dress is just below the knee, which is the shortest I would wear because don't care to show my knees.  True all my life.

As an older senior, i wear dresses often and in all seasons.  In the summer they are the coolest thing to wear.  In the winter wearing dresses show off my beautiful boots.  Plus dresses are one and done.  No need to search for coordinating pieces.

Yes, one and done is my favorite reason to wear dresses.  And as I wrote before, I am height challenged and I think wearing the same material from neck to hem is better than breaking up the eye line with lots of pieces!

Dresses are more feminine and more elegant than pants.  I wear pants most of the time but I did this as a test trial one day with my beautiful DIL.  I did not tell her what we were doing but insisted we both wear dresses. (We were at her house and I already was wearing a dress).  We went shopping for a couple hours, we went to lunch and we went to a museum afterward and before returning home, for a cocktail.

Men opened doors for us both, (even at my age), younger men opened doors and were more polite. Women in department stores seemed to be more polite than with the other ladies who were shopping in that department at the same time. Those in the museum spoke to us in very friendly, but professional, manner.

Neither of us took this as anything but all people are more polite when you are wearing a dress, people respecting you more or less, setting you apart from other women.

I love dresses!!!!

Soft floating chiffon for Summer (with sandals), warm slinky cashmere for Winter (with boots), Sequin encrusted gowns (for cruises), polished suits or dresses with jackets (for important business meetings.)

Yes, of course, I wear lots of pants, but I hope I never stop wearing dresses!

In my opinion, age has no bearing on this issue.

In my 70's, and I live in dresses, especially in the summer. Have always preferred them to pants. Now that I'm in a hot, humid climate, they are a blessing. Go wear what you like!

I love dresses! I wear mine to sing at church and attend other events. I wear mostly wrap and faux wrap knee length dresses in solids and prints. I think they are the most flattering for my shape. I don't think dresses have an age limit. Well, maybe a micro mini does? 😉

Yes my grandmothers didn’t wear pants either and one was a seamstress who made her own. I think anyone can rock a dress depending on their body type. I just hate those matronly Mother of the Bride dresses. I feel if you have nice legs go for it and show them off.
