Re: Are you a scarf person?

[ Edited ]

While I don't wear them that way (my style is different) ... I love scarves.

I'm definitely a scarf person .... and it all started in 1970 when I got a gift of a  beautiful Pucci scarf .... and i became addicted ... it has never ended.

Since that time, i always buy or make a coordinating scarf for all new clothes.  (For summer weather I love the long skinny crochet scarves .... have made many of them!)

So - you can imagine how many scarves I have today.  I have six storage boxes that are about 12" x 12" and full of scarves.  Two closet doors have shoe bags and rather than shoes - each "bag" has one or two scarves.

Depending on weather and where I'm going .... I almost always wear a scarf.

Nope, don't own any. Not cold enough to wear a coat much less a scarf.

Not a fashion scarf, only with a winter coat.  I think they're too fussy looking.

I have several of them, quite nice in fact, but I never think to wear them.  I sometimes see QVC hosts or models wearing them with a very casual top and think I would never do that.  Carolyn Gracie would wear scarves and it didn't really look good to me.  But when Joan Rivers wore them, well that was a different story.

I use to wear a scarf daily.  Owned many and inherited many.  Little by little they are finding they way out of the house.  I just do not dress like that anymore.  I have made my life easy in mid 70's.  I have one for every holiday!

I don't like anything around my neck. I run very hot and feel suffocated and even somewhat strangled with turtlenecks, short necklaces, and scarfs. So, not a scarf person.

I never wore a scarf when I was teaching.  They just got in the way.  Then for a few years in retirement I wore them a lot as accessories for color and texture and have quite a collection.  I especially liked the infinity style.  But since the pandemic I haven't worn them at all.  I am just a lot more casual, I guess.

I do not like a scarf worn with a winter coat unless it is for warmth.  I have a friend who always wears one to keep make up off her coat collar.  Ick.

Yes, I love scarfs and admire them on everyone else. But when I do it, I never think it looks good! But I keep trying as I really love the look!

I love scarves but am sensitive to the trends. The "eternity" scarf was huge about 12 years ago but since then scarves worn with outfits (not just coats) is considered more of an older lady style.

I'm not much of a scarf person. Just never been part of my style.

I owned a few fashion scarves years ago. I tried wearing them to work and styling them a few different ways, but I never felt like they were "my look". I also tried wearing them as belts and tied on to handbags, but I wasn't a fan of those uses either. I still own one fashion scarf that was gifted to me by a friend, and a couple scarves for winter coats, but I rarely wear them.
