I mainly wear Chicos travelknits and the fabric seems to be much cheaper these days. It doesn't last nearly as long as it used to. But also I have been trying to break out of this look. It seems tired and dated to me also. I like the suggestion of mixing it with other fabrics. That sounds like a great way to transition out and economical too! I'm sure it would look much more updated also!

Lola, thanks so much for this! I had never heard of Kika Capsules and took a quick look at their site and will definitely research in more detail. Great mix and match ideas!

I only owned 2 pieces of Citiknit fashions..a top
and a pair of black pants..I got tired of wearing
them and that was that.

You already know they are outdated. You don't need work clothes anymore. You bought them at least 10 years ago, probably longer. You got your money's worth. If they are still in good condition, give them to a charity that collects used clothing. If they've seen better days, toss them out.

Tapering the leg on the pants makes them look more current. With RA there are some days that I need my clothes to be easy.

As some have already mentioned, use the clothing items in different ways. Years ago I got a number of Sag Harbor rayon pants, loose dressing I think they called the style, for work. Kept them, years passed. Couldn't wear them out anymore, way out of style, but I wore those pants to death at home as lounge and sleep pants, very comfortable. I have a old Freelance(QVC) modal jacket that has served as a lightweight short robe (covers my rear) that I have worn for years.
If you don't like it, donate. If you still like it, think about other ways, maybe unexpected, to use the clothes.

I have some of the old Citiknits wide leg pants - no different than the styles being sold today.
The straight leg are exactly the same width as pants I recently bought.

Yes, you are right. I wanted to make them look more like a legging without being one. I lift weights to help my issues and have very muscular thighs and calves. I just do not like the skin tight look of a legging. It gives me the opportunity to enjoy a modified version of that silhouette. Maybe it just looks more current to me, LOL. They sure are comfortable.

If you like them wear them and who cares what some consider to be outdated but if you are really bothered by possibly wearing something that others might consider outdated then it probably would be best to let them go. It's all personal preference and what you are comfortable with - no right or wrong on this.
