I have two Aran sweaters and one asymmetric cape that I keep folded flat on my closet shelf during the winter months and flat in a drawer when not needed.

Folks comment on their beauty and color every time I wear them !  One fellow who waited on us at the Verizon store wanted to know where to get one as a Christmas gift for his wife !

I always suggest to get the next larger size because I like to "wrap" the sweater around me.  Favorite colors: cobalt, navy, and a navy with some green throughout.

I have never had a problem with mine pilling.  We ordered two more yesterday.

Late to the party...

  • Also never had a problem with pilling on the 12 I own. If I did, I'd use a de-piller -- probably a hand-held one.
  • No issues at all with moths. Keep them stored in small rectangular sweater bags with a cedar ball or block inside.
  • Never have washed or professionally dry cleaned any of mine. Have used Dryel on one over the last 15 years. Otherwise, some good old sunshine and wind -- just like my grandmother did.

These sweaters are so warm in the winter months. Use them as "coats" in spring & fall, as the exclusive warm layer in the house in the winter (to prevent turning the heat up).

Love the unique colors the Q brings in compared to the normal inventory on Aran Crafts' site.

And the stitching is just really beautiful! Always get compliments and inquiries when I wear them out & about. If you can fit it into your budget, you won't be disappointed -- though they are a splurge!
